We needed a new AC system; JL Anderson was the most competitive of the quotes I obtained. Joe Kollman was extremely helpful in outlining the options available, and in recommending the appropriate system to work with my existing furnace. Joe also recommended a new humidifier to replace a broken unit, and also a new furnace filter box better sized to the furnace; he was kind enough to offer the filter box for free.

The install was performed very professionally; Joe and his crew turned up on time, finished ahead of schedule and cleaned up after the job. Kirt took the time to show me all the work that had been done, and demonstrate operation of the system before leaving; Joe came back several days later to ensure everything had gone well and that we were completely happy. Overall, I was very pleased with the product and the service I received from JL Anderson, and particularly Joe Kollman. I will use JL Anderson for future work on my furnace/AC system and would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality, professional work in this area.

We had a wonderful experience with the entire Anderson team. Our salesman, Joe, was excellent and helped us make an educated decision. He took the time to walk through our house and determine if moving the furnace and air conditioner was even feasible. We had been told it wasn’t doable by another company that didn’t even bother to do a walkthrough of our house. Joe took the time to help us decide what furnace would best suit our home’s needs as well as how relocating the furnace would work. He took the time to teach us and not just tell us what to do.

The installation team of Curt Jared were great as well. They worked very hard and were extremely professional. Our project was very time consuming and large, but they handled it well and we are happy with the end result. They took the time to show us how to use our new thermostat and change filters. They took extra steps to make our gas line usable for a gas grill in the future as well as access to the line in the basement for other appliances.

The entire Anderson team did a great job and I would definitely use them again!

It was time to replace the furnace and AC in our house. We wanted to upgrade our system to include dual zone. We called to set up an appointment to discuss needs and size of unit for house. An estimate was provided and we were very pleased with the amount of detail and explanation of product and services to be performed. We scheduled a time for installation while we were gone on vacation. Upon our return, everything was in working order. A couple of days after our return, we received a phone call to schedule a walk through and discuss best practices for our new system. The customer service and attention to detail was excellent. A job well done.

Our home is about 18 years old and I had to replace the A/C condenser fan the first week we moved in (two summers ago). I also noticed that the previous owner had the same fan replaced several years back. When the furnace blower motor started to make funny sounds, I decided it was time to replace it.

I started by asking local companies for quotations for a geothermal heating system. We are on a large lot, and a horizontal loop system would fit nicely. Of all the companies I spoke with, only Joe from JL Anderson advised me to stay with a natural gas furnace. Others recommended geo or some form of heat pump with electric backup heat.  After doing more research on the web, I learned that Joe was correct. Geo only seems to make sense for those in my area that are on electric heat. I also learned that switching to resistive backup heat would have complicated my whole-hose generator installation.

Before the work was started, the installation crew came to the house to verify the installation could be completed as promised.  This included the furnace orientation, the ability to zone the existing ductwork, thermostat placement on the second floor, etc.

The work started when promised, and completed on time (4.5 days total).  The installers were extremely professional, punctual and kept us informed throughout the project. They left the worksite cleaner than when they started. They even worked with me to determine the best way to connect the A/C condenser to the load-shedding contacts on my whole-house generator transfer switch.

The system has been running perfectly for two weeks now. We are extremely pleased. It’s a bit weird not being able to tell that the heat is on due to the variable speed blower and modulating burner. The features and flexibility of the 950 thermostat are very nice. We can even control it through our iPads and iPhones when we are away from home.

Selecting a new contactor is always risky. I’ve had good luck and bad luck in the past.  At this point, I only hope for a decent job. JL Anderson went above and beyond my expectations and I highly recommend that you consider them if you are in the Lafayette area.

Fantastic! My existing heating/air was 22 years old.

I appreciate being able to do as much homework as possible electronically and Joe Kollman at Anderson was great. We made contact in January via e-mail and arranged for him to visit my house and provide an estimate.  I had several questions afterward, which he answered completely.

Later in the spring, Joe contacted me to see if I had made a purchase yet.  He had an installation opening in the next week and wondered if he could fit me in. Again, he answered all my questions and I found I just couldn’t refuse! It should be noted that at the same time, I was working with two other companies and I did not receive the same quality of information and, frankly honesty.

Joe’s guys were at my house on time (early), were completely sensitive to my property (including my dog, Odie!). The job took the better part of two days and it was done on-time, correctly, and they left my place the way they found it. Yesterday I came home in the sweltering heat of the day (76 in April!) and was able to cool off with air conditioning.
